Great Tutors Make
Great Matches Possible.
JOHN PREP TUTORING is growing our network of English tutors for in-home lessons with children throughout Korea. We are looking for warm, reliable and professional tutors with native or fully native-level North American English proficiency.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We welcome tutors who bring
natural, confident English to every lesson.
Native or Native-Level English
Natural North American pronunciation and communication ability.
Strong Communication
Able to communicate naturally and patiently with children.
Experience With Children
Teaching, tutoring, childcare or other relevant experience is preferred.
Reliability
Professional communication, punctuality and consistency are essential.
In-Person Availability
Comfortable traveling to students' homes for lessons.
Teaching Suitability
A warm, encouraging approach that fits children of varying ages.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE
Native English Comes
in Many Backgrounds.
JOHN PREP welcomes tutors who speak English naturally at a native or fully native level. This can include:
- People raised in the United States or Canada
- People educated primarily in English in North America
- Bilingual Korean-Americans or Korean-Canadians
- Second-generation Korean diaspora
- Heritage Korean speakers whose dominant or native language is English
- Other candidates with demonstrably native-level North American English
Strong English ability alone is not the only consideration — we also value natural pronunciation, communication style, teaching ability, experience with children, professionalism, and personality fit.
Korean-American? Korean-Canadian?
Bilingual and Native in English?
We'd Love to Hear From You.
If you grew up in an English-speaking environment and English is your native or dominant language, you are welcome to apply. Many families appreciate tutors who can provide authentic North American English while also understanding Korean family culture.
Korean fluency is not required unless a specific role calls for it.
